Tasting notes

Mourvèdre cuvée, born on the northern hill of the parcel la Brulade raised for 6 months in amphorae, takes its name from Thyrsus, Bacchus’s wooden scepter of Bacchus interwoven with vines: it embodies the rigor of the winegrower’s work, the upright port of this beautiful grape variety allied to the exuberance and the freshness of its fruit.

Deep, intensely purplish and shiny color. Its bouquet is rich, elegant and opens with a beautiful complexity: berries, blackcurrant, raspberries, blackberries mingle with fresh grapes, supported by spicy notes of black pepper, thyme, cinnamon and violet. Generous… fruity with a smooth and refreshing finish

To be enjoyed in it’s youth and over the next 10 years, as an accompaniment to platters of traditional cold cuts and cheeses or braised meats., leg lamb studded with garlic scented with rosemary. After a few years it will do wonders with dishes in sauce and game.
