The perfect expression of a rosé made in bandol
This chic and charming cuvée embodies both the savoir-faire and the know-how of the domaine. With its name directly linked to its native land, Bégude meaning « the place where we drink » in Provençal, this is a rosé that is faithful to its terroir.

Tasting notes
With its beautiful coral-coloured appearance, this rosé seduces wine lovers with its aromas of small acidic red fruits such as raspberries and wild strawberries before developing fresh citrus notes. The palate has the same aromatic flavours as on the nose, enriched by fine notes of hawthorn. Sapid and juicy, it is carried by a very coated and refreshing acidity ending on a beautiful salinity. One of the great prides of the estate! Ready to drink now but will nicely age up to 5 years.

Les Echos : 91/100 A lovely expression of Mourvèdre, with hints of Grenache and Cinsault. The palate generously encompasses resinous aromas of maquis and plum. Volume is controlled and the fresh finish whets the appetite. The care taken by the estate in its winemaking (manual harvest, biodynamic conversion) is bearing fruit.

Jancis Robinson : 17/20 Rosé Dark pink with a rose-copper cast. It smells just like fresh red-apple skins and cinnamon. Like the Thyrsus, spicy, but in a different way – as if the spices were pressed into the texture rather than the fruit. Wonderful ruck and pucker to the texture, and an earthiness that is both savoury and fruit- formed. Cranberry-stained leather, rosehip crushed in parchment, fresh oregano ruched into wild strawberries. It’s a cadenza of a wine – out of tempo, off-piste, distinctive, playful. It hands out pink- grapefruit freshness and pebbles – not the shiny ones – and tells you they are flowers. Gosh, this is wonderful!
