Tasting Notes
The wine has a beautiful purple color and a complex and subtle nose of red fruits and spices. The palate is structured, coated and delicious at the same time, offering a beautiful balance on the fruit. The elegant acidity gives it a nice freshness, with smooth tannins and delicate peppery notes. Long finish with spices
and garrigue notes.
Origin : AOC Bandol
Blend : Mourvèdre 90 %, Grenache 10 %.
Soil: Rudist limestone over blue marls
Culture: Certified organic by the Ecocert label since 2006 (+ NOP equivalence)
Yield: 23 hl/ha
Harvest: Manual in small crates.
Vinification: Double sorting, total destemming, long maceration with manual and assisted punching down with the greatest respect for the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation by the grape’s natural yeasts.
Ageing: 18 months in French oak casks
Guide Hachette des Vins 2024 : 1 étoile "Mourvèdre dominates (90%) in this dark red, with a powerful bouquet that reveals perfectly ripe fruit and the mark of a still dominant but careful ageing process. On the palate, the wine is delicate, fleshy and supple, with mellow tannins and a savoury finish reminiscent of wild berries and sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). A Bandol that will hit the spot as soon as the cold weather sets in, with stewed meat."

The wine started very oaky, but relaxed more and more over three days, the purity of the fruit pulling forward ahead of the oak. Wonderful striations of dried thyme embedded into the dark succulence of the fruit. Masses of ultra-fine tannins, almost invisibly meshing the wine together."
